Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aides to join our team in a Long Term Care setting. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and service, ensuring that all dietary needs are met for patients. This role is crucial in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment while providing excellent service to our patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines.
- Help with bussing tables and cleaning dining areas after meals.
- Ensure all food items are stored properly and maintain cleanliness in food preparation areas.
- Sanitate kitchen equipment and utensils to adhere to health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely meal delivery.
- Support dietary staff in managing special dietary needs of patients.
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and report any shortages or issues.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or as a Dietary Aide is preferred.
- Knowledge of dietary practices, nutrition, and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to learn about culinary techniques and dietetics.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move food items as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.

Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
