Description
Under general supervision of the Academic Finance and Funds Flow, responsible for the application of accounting principles and practices to a variety of fiscal functions, including accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, funds flow modeling, pro forma development, and reconciliations supporting the physician enterprise and affiliated health system partners. Responsible for preparing and reviewing the completion of complex accounting reports and reconciliations. Responsible for maintaining internal controls within area of responsibility. Provides technical guidance to departmental leaders and staff relating to financial processes and accounting principles and practices. Responsible for the identification, performance, and completion of process improvements within assigned area. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of USFTGP.
Essential Functions:
- In conjunction with VP of Finance and operational leaders, develop annual budget for USFTGP.
- Develop, prepare, and distribute month end reports to operational leaders.
- Develop and maintain cost allocation methodologies and calculations.
- Be a key liaison between finance and departmental leaders on finance matters.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in financial performance.
- Prepare journal entries for submission to accounting.
- Maintain documentation of methodologies and process to support audit readiness and governance requirements.
- Perform reconciliation analyses and ensure accuracy for financial records.
- Support the development, preparation, and distribution of pro formas related to recruitment, programs, and Service Outcome Costs proposals.
- Support process improvement initiatives, including report standardization and automation.
Qualifications
Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Financia, Health Administration, or related field.
Work Experience and Additional Information
-
One (1) year experience in financial, accounting, or decision support analyst role with experience in developing, conducting and implementing financial/economic analysis, forecasting, general ledger, strategic plans, and data models.
Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency with computer-based analytical and reporting tools such as MS Excel and database applications.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and data management.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and leadership skills.
