The Event Maître d’ is responsible for overseeing the flow and execution of events from start to finish while ensuring exceptional guest service and seamless coordination between staff, vendors, and clients. This role serves as the primary point of contact during events and helps maintain a polished, professional, and organized atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Oversee weddings, banquets, brunches, cocktail parties, and private events
- Coordinate event timelines and ensure all details are executed properly
- Greet clients, guests, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner
- Supervise banquet staff, bartenders, servers, and support personnel
- Ensure banquet rooms, décor, food stations, and service areas are properly prepared
- Work closely with kitchen and event management teams to maintain smooth service
- Handle guest requests and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Monitor timing of meals, speeches, entertainment, and special event moments
- Ensure cleanliness, presentation, and service standards are maintained throughout the event
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, banquet, restaurant, or event management preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in fast-paced environments
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

- Wedding and banquet experience

Work Environment
Fast-paced hospitality and event venue environment overseeing upscale social and corporate events including weddings, showers, brunches, galas, and private celebrations.
Pay: $22.95 - $32.95 per hour
