Job Summary
As a busser and dishwasher (steward), your role is to focus on sanitation and guest service support. Bussers clear tables and assist dining staff. As a dishwasher, you will operate commercial dish machines, sanitize kitchenware, and maintain back-of-house cleanliness.
Key ResponsibilitiesDishwasher / Kitchen Steward
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and 3-compartment sinks.
- Wash and sanitize china, glassware, silverware, pots, and pans.
- Keep floors, worktables, and back-of-house areas clean and safe.
- Breakdown bus tubs, empty trash, and manage waste disposal.
- Stock and store clean kitchenware in assigned areas.
Busser
- Transport dirty tableware and bus tubs from the dining room to the dishwashing area.
- Clear, clean, and sanitize tables quickly between guest seatings.
- Support food and beverage servers to maintain smooth dining room flow.
- Restock service stations with silverware, glassware, and napkins.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Capacity to lift, push, or pull heavy items up to 50 pounds.
- Strong work ethic and comfort in a fast-paced hotel environment.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays.
