American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric critical care experience for a night shift travel position at a children's hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

Respiratory Care department in a pediatric hospital setting
-
Previous experience in a children's-only hospital is preferred

Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)

13-week contract

Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
-
RRT credential required
-
Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Oklahoma (license required if applicable)

Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience; 2+ years in a critical care setting preferred

Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
-
ACLS from AHA required (must be obtained within 3 months of hire)

All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff

Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and patient monitoring

Document treatment information and patient responses in a computerized medical record system

Serve as a resource person to medical staff and ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained

Participate as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests

Provide age-appropriate respiratory care across all areas served by the department

Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may extend once for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation is required before becoming eligible for another contract
