Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive curricula tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels, incorporating fundamental techniques and creative expression
- Deliver engaging individual and group lessons that motivate students to improve their skills
- Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting lesson plans accordingly
- Incorporate various teaching methods including lesson planning, visual aids, and multimedia tools to enhance learning experiences
- Organize and lead performance opportunities, recitals, or workshops to showcase student achievements
- Collaborate with other instructors or program coordinators to develop interdisciplinary projects involving rhythm, theater, or dance
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching piano with a focus in music theory
- Strong classroom management skills to create an encouraging environment for learners of all ages
- Ability to work effectively with children, teenagers, and adult students across different skill levels
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support positive student engagement
- Experience working with special education needs or in inclusive classroom settings is a plus
