REPORTS TO: Executive Director and Program Directors
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non- Exempt
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Receptionist provides the first line of security for the center and is responsible for supporting management, greeting guests, answering telephone and various administrative duties.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (The below listed duties are not all
inclusive. This position must also perform other duties as assigned.):
1. Meet and greet children, families, and visitors.
2. Organize, monitor and maintain reception area.
3. Relay and enforce agency policies as it relates to the safety of children, families and staff.
4. Answer telephones and transfer to appropriate staff member.
5. Mange agency email and contact lists.
6. Manage daily mail and deliver to appropriate office.
7. Be familiar with Emergency Preparedness Plans and how to execute them.
8. Inventory, order, and organize office supplies.
9. Create monthly parent newsletter.
10. Create and modify documents/spreadsheets using Microsoft Office.
11. Photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
12. Management of photocopier.
13. Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system.
14. Support staff as needed.
15. Provide office orientation for new employees.
16. Attend trainings to enhance skills .
17. Keep information confidential as it relates to families and staff.
18. Be knowledgeable of our Policies and Family Handbook.
19. Enter in EAV's to DHS daily/weekly.
20. Manage Procare messages, postings, and meal counts daily.
21. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Education Required:
*HS Diploma. Some College preferred.
Experience Required: *Experience as administrative assistant or receptionist preferred; ECE experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional and pleasant customer relations skills.
- Demonstrates initiative and accuracy.
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS:
Physically able to unpack and store office supplies.
Full-time/ Wages based on experience $14.00-$20.00 per hour
Must be able to meet DHS background requirements with a medical statement indicating that your general physical and mental condition permits you to direct and actively participate in activities with children, with or without reasonable accommodation (if necessary). Additionally, each staff member shall comply with tuberculosis screening requirements.

Schedule:
- 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday
- No weekends
