We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with a military background or security guard background preferred but not required
experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong situational awareness, crisis
management skills, and a passion for working with individuals who require structured care and
supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and supervision to male/female residents with intellectual disabilities and physical
health concerns.
Implement safety plans and intervention strategies for individuals prone to elopement.
Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication
administration.
Monitor and document behavioral progress, incidents, and health-related concerns.
Use de-escalation techniques to manage crisis situations effectively.
Support residents in developing independent living and social skills.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, case managers, and other staff to provide
comprehensive care.
Maintain a secure and structured environment while fostering a positive and supportive
atmosphere.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in military service, law enforcement, or security is highly preferred.
Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, behavioral challenges, or
mental health conditions is a plus.
Ability to remain calm and take appropriate action in high-pressure situations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Competitive starting pay at $18 per hour
Be able to work 12 hour shifts
