Summary
The Medical Receptionist is a key component of our coordinated care team and works closely with the clinic manager and primary care physician(s) to deliver excellent patient care and customer service. To promote efficiency and collaboration with the team is key to managing patient flow and communication. A passion for providing healthcare services to patients and enjoys working closely with other healthcare professionals and administrative staff in the practice. Treat patients with the utmost respect and concern for their physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Your sincere and caring approach as a medical assistant makes a difference to the patient in preparing them to see their provider. Responsible for interacting with guests in a healthcare setting and managing administrative tasks for the team.
Job Descriptions
- Greet patients in a professional manner face to face and over the phone
- Promptly address patient questions and concerns
- Optimize provider schedule with efficient scheduling
- Notify staff of patient arrivals
- Under general supervision, assists clinic manager and provider in reception duties
- Perform a variety of clerical support duties including receptionist, telephone, scheduling, message management, data input, and completion of necessary patient forms.
- Adhere to company and payor policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives environmental, safety, and infection control standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
- All other duties as reasonably assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bilingual preferred ☒ English ☒ Korean ☐ Spanish
- At least 1 year of experience working in a clinic setting preferred
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and as a cooperative team member
- Maintain confidentiality of patient medical records
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
- Familiarity with computer/EMR
- Bilingual English/Korean (preferred)
- Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals and administrative staff collaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patient experiences with the practice.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
