The Night Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment during night shift operations. This role supports QES initiatives through safety audits, incident response, reporting, and employee engagement, while providing immediate first aid assessment and treatment when necessary. The coordinator serves as the primary safety resource on shift and ensures adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Monitor workplace conditions during night shift to ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulations (e.g., OSHA or applicable standards)
Conduct routine and random safety audits, inspections, and job observations
Identify hazards and implement or recommend corrective actions
Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices across all departments
Respond promptly to workplace incidents, injuries, and near misses
Conduct initial incident investigations, gather facts, and document findings
Ensure proper incident reporting and documentation in company systems
Follow through on corrective actions to completion and effectiveness
Track and analyze incident trends to support continuous improvement
First Aid and Emergency Response
Provide first aid assessment and treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses
Determine the need for advanced medical care and coordinate emergency response when required
Maintain first aid supplies, equipment, and emergency readiness
Assist in emergency drills and preparedness activities
Complete detailed safety reports, audit findings, and incident documentation
Maintain accurate safety records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
Communicate safety issues, trends, and recommendations to leadership
Support shift handoffs with clear communication on safety concerns and follow-ups
Reinforce safety training and procedures during night shift operations
Conduct toolbox talks and on-the-floor safety coaching
Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging employee participation and hazard reporting
Mentor employees on safe work behaviors and risk awareness
Program Support and Continuous Improvement
Assist in implementing QES programs and initiatives
Participate in risk assessments and job hazard analyses (JHAs)
Support environmental and quality compliance efforts as needed
Recommend process improvements to enhance workplace safety

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional safety or medical training preferred
2+ years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings
First Aid/CPR/AED certification required (or ability to obtain)
OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety training preferred
Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and regulations
Ability to assess risk and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Strong documentation and reporting abilities
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management systems
Ability to walk, stand, and patrol work areas for extended periods
Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations
Capability to lift and assist injured individuals when necessary (within training guidelines)
Work in a variety of environmental conditions (noise, temperature, etc.)
