CNC Programmer/Operator
Location: Columbus, OH

Laird Plastics is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Operator to join our team. We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong machining background who can program, set up, and operate CNC equipment while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and related machining equipment.
- Create and edit programs using G-Code.
- Set up jobs from drawings and work instructions to ensure accurate production.
- Design and build fixtures to improve efficiency, repeatability, and quality.
- Perform tool selection, setup, and machine calibration.
- Inspect finished parts to verify dimensional accuracy and quality requirements.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience programming and operating Haas CNC Mills or similar CNC machining equipment.
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in G-Code programming.
- Experience with complete job setup, including tooling, workholding, and fixture development.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CAD/CAM software.
- Knowledge of multiple machining operations and materials.
- Experience in a job shop or custom manufacturing environment.
