The Goodman Group is seeking a Full-time National Director of Culinary Operations to join their corporate operations team!
The primary purpose of the National Director of Operations is to direct Regional Directors of Operations, Health Services Directors, Administrators and coordinate the activities of the Skilled Nursing Facilities within the Senior Living and Health Care Division in support of policies, goals, and objectives established by the managing partner.
This individual can be based out of Minneapolis/St. Paul MN metro, Flagstaff or Peoria AZ, or on the west coast of FL in Tampa/Clearwater, Sarasota, or Naples.
This position requires full flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time to The Goodman Group's affiliated locations throughout the United States. This would require the ability to fly, drive, rent a car, and the ability to work flexible hours as needed which may exceed 40 hours per week and may include nights/weekends.
Essential Job Functions
- Overall responsibility for Skilled Nursing Facilities including financing, accounting, marketing, operations and expansions.
- Implements the strategic direction for the company's Skilled Nursing Facilities current operations and expansion.
- Structures and negotiates joint ventures to build and/or acquire Senior Living and Health Care facilities.
- Ensures that teams are working toward achieving budgeted census.
- Develops and installs systems and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow between all interested parties.
- Profit and Loss responsibility with a clear mandate to effectively grow both the company and the operating teams capabilities.
- Maintains relationships with partners and shareholders of each project.
- Evaluates the results of the Skilled Nursing Facilities' operations directly and systematically and reports these results to the VP and CEO.
- Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct reports are defined and understood. Ensures that all organization activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.
- Is responsible for maximizing reimbursement through different opportunities such as case mix, PDPM, managed care and Medicaid rates.
- Responsible for holding teams accountable to manage dollars and hours and in particular pool labor.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Critical Skills
- Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
- Communicate effectively in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, team members, prospects, residents, and families.
- Knowledge/proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience
- Must have seven years of Senior Living experience or equivalent combination of education and experience at an accredited college or university.
- Five or more years related experience and/or training.
Supervisory Responsibility
- This position does not have any direct reports or supervisory requirements.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Physical Requirements - The Physical activities of this position involve:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to minimally lift 15 pounds at times
- Ability to move throughout the office

Compensation: $145,000-$175,000 annually, based on experience
