About Us:
SpeakUp Adventure Camp is an innovative, gamified online educational platform dedicated to empowering youth through cross-cultural communication. We specialize in teaching English through the lens of leadership, public speaking, and debate. Our students are primarily based in Asia, and we are looking for passionate, high-energy educators to guide them on their English learning journey.
The Role:
We are seeking qualified and engaging Online English Tutors to lead our virtual camps. As an independent contractor, you will not need to worry about marketing or finding students—we provide the curriculum, the platform, and the students. Your focus will be entirely on delivering high-quality, interactive lessons that build our students' confidence and fluency.
Key Responsibilities:
● Deliver engaging, live online English lessons focusing on public speaking, debate, and language proficiency.
● Conduct one short, non-billable trial lesson prior to the commencement of each new Camp to onboard students.
● Foster a patient, encouraging, and highly positive virtual classroom environment.
● Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their articulation and critical thinking.
Qualifications:
● ● Exceptional fluency in English (both spoken and written) with clear articulation.
● Prior experience teaching ESL/EFL; experience with TOEFL or IELTS speaking preparation is highly preferred.
● Strong background in public speaking, debate, or communications is a major plus.
● A high degree of patience and a proven track record of teaching youth students.
● Reliable high-speed internet, a high-quality webcam, and a quiet, professional teaching environment.
Compensation & Perks:
● Base Rate: $30.00 per hour for all official camp hours.
● Perfect Attendance Bonus: An additional $30.00 bonus per camp if you maintain perfect attendance (no absences and no late arrivals) for all scheduled classes.

Platform Standards & Professional Requirements:
To maintain a premium and safe educational environment for our students, all contractors must strictly adhere to our operational guidelines:
● Attendance Policy: A minimum of 48 hours' written notice is required for any planned leave. Unexcused absences (no-shows) will result in a $100 deduction from your compensation as liquidated damages.
● Zero-Tolerance on Private Contact: Tutors are strictly prohibited from soliciting, offering direct services to, or privately contacting our students or their parents outside of our official platform. Violation of this rule will result in immediate termination and forfeiture of any unpaid compensation.
● Professional Conduct: Tutors must maintain a patient and encouraging demeanor at all times. Arguing or exhibiting unprofessional behavior in class is strictly prohibited.
