Location: Salisbury, NC
Marathon Staffing is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic I for 2nd shift. If you enjoy hands-on work, keeping equipment running safely, and supporting a team through preventative maintenance and repairs, we’d love to hear from you.
Schedule: Mon–Thurs, 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM (10 hours)
Pay: Starting at $22/hour (may increase based on experience) + shift differential
What you’ll do:
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools, and building systems
- Assist with repairs for woodworking machinery, infeed/outfeed systems, hand tools, and forklifts using diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturer specifications
- Order supplies and parts as needed
- Maintain records of repair and maintenance activities
- Follow established safety rules and procedures; keep the work area clean and organized
- Participate in safety, continuous improvement (CI), and other programs/meetings
- Prepare reports as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in machine repair/maintenance
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, and welding
- Knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations
- Demonstrated working knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practices
- Must be at least 18 years of age
