Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh sandwiches and food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders, and upsell menu items to enhance sales opportunities.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling, change giving, and balancing registers at shift end.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and food prep zones following food safety guidelines.
- Assist with food handling tasks like wrapping, packaging, bussing tables, and restocking supplies as needed.
- Support team members in delivering quick service in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food service or quick service restaurants with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for smooth transaction processing.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy café or retail environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in cashiering or retail math is highly desirable; culinary or kitchen experience is a plus.
