Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with consistency, quality, and presentation in mind
- Follow established recipes and food safety guidelines to ensure optimal food handling and sanitation
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation to support culinary innovation and efficiency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to health regulations at all times
- Support the team during busy service hours by managing multiple orders efficiently
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of dishes
- Lead by example in maintaining high standards for food preparation, safety, and customer service
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within the food industry
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
- Prior restaurant experience, especially in fine dining or catering environments, is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning and meal preparation processes
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
