Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Family Therapist to join our dedicated mental health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, families, and couples, focusing on strengthening relationships, managing behavioral health challenges, and promoting overall well-being. Duties
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, family, and couples therapy utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure immediate safety and stabilize clients experiencing acute mental health episodes.
- Facilitate home visits and community outreach programs to provide care in clients’ natural environments, supporting home and community-based care initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation following HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines, including medical records, progress notes, and treatment summaries.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts, ensuring holistic patient care across healthcare providers.
- Engage in ongoing clinical research and data collection to monitor treatment effectiveness and improve service delivery.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; licensure or certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), is required.
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, families, or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral management techniques, and crisis management protocols.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical documentation standards.
- Experience working with diverse populations in various settings including hospital environments or telehealth platforms is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients effectively while adhering to confidentiality standards like HIPAA.
