Compensation
- The Employee will receive a commission equal to 50% of the gross service revenue collected for each completed massage session.
- Non-massage hours will be paid out at minimum wage.
- Owsley Chiropractic will provide all necessary supplies, including linens, lotions, tables, and scheduling software, at no cost to the Employee.
Duties
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and relaxation massage to meet individual client needs
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on symptoms and health history
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend personalized treatment strategies for pain management and occupational health improvement
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, including notes on patient responses and progress
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including CPR certification and adherence to medical terminology standards
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and support overall wellness initiatives
- Create a calming environment that promotes relaxation, comfort, and trust for every client
Experience
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification in massage therapy
- Knowledge of various massage modalities such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and medical massage techniques
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and the musculoskeletal system to accurately assess patient needs
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to pain management, occupational health, and therapeutic treatments
- Knowledge of CPR certification requirements and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse clients
