Part-time Remote California-Licensed Supervising Attorney Needed - $150.00/hour
Requirements:
· California-licensed attorney in good standing with NO disciplinary history in ANY state. (We will check.)
· Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a California-licensed attorney in any of the following practice areas or a combination thereof: family law, estate planning, criminal law, personal injury, real estate, or general civil litigation. Other practice areas considered if attorney has requisite experience.
· This position requires the Supervising Attorney to ensure that attorneys comply with the California Rules of Professional Conduct and the California State Bar Act as per Cal. R. Prof. Conduct 5.1 by, among other things, establishing internal policies and procedures designed to detect and resolve conflicts of interest, identify dates by which actions must be taken in pending matters, and other functions.
· In pursuit of these tasks, the Supervising Attorney will, among other things, perform check-ins with attorneys, conduct strategy discussions with attorneys, provide certain training aspects to attorneys, as well as perform some firm administrative tasks.
· The Supervising Attorney position is entirely remote. The Supervising Attorney will utilize email, phone, and web-interfacing video software to perform their duties.
· The Supervising Attorney must be very responsive and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· The Supervising Attorney must be detail-oriented with very strong organizational skills.
· The candidate may reside anywhere in the United States, however, a California-based candidate is preferred.
· Additionally, the Supervising Attorney may work for the firm as an attorney taking cases themselves (in a non-supervisory capacity) in their core-competency practice areas of either family law, estate planning, criminal defense, personal injury, real estate, or general civil litigation.

Job Type – Part Time/Contract
Pay: $150/hr
Anticipated hours: 10-20/Month initially as Supervising Attorney, increasing as attorney staff expands; 5-20/week as an attorney taking cases (in a non-supervisory capacity).

Ability to relocate:
· Continental United States for Supervisory Attorney role, though California-based is preferred; For non-supervisory work as an attorney taking cases, the candidate must reside within reasonable travel distance of San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or San Jose and can meet with clients in the respective area if needed.
· Must be relocated to continental USA prior to starting work for Supervisory Attorney position, and San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or San Jose if also accepting case work in non-supervisory capacity. (Required.)
