Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to join our team. This vital leadership role involves overseeing daily store operations, managing staff, ensuring excellent customer experiences, and maintaining inventory accuracy. Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising daily store activities, including sales, inventory control, and customer service standards.
- Support recruitment efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new employees.
- Lead and motivate team members through effective training and development initiatives.
- Manage payroll processing, cash handling, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy.
- Oversee inventory management, purchasing, pricing strategies, and merchandising efforts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and store procedures.
- Utilize POS systems for transactions and sales management while maintaining excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
Requirements
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience within a retail environment is essential.
- Demonstrated skills in management, team leadership, and employee orientation.
- Proficiency in retail math, sales management, inventory control, and cash handling.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of POS systems, purchasing processes, and retail marketing strategies.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases.
- Excellent communication skills with experience in interviewing, training & development, and customer service excellence.
