YMCA is now hiring for Camp Parker : Resident Camp Counselors.
The YMCA Camp Parker runs from July 13th through July 31st, 2026.Camp staff have a paid in-person training July 6th through July 10th, 2026.
YMCA Camp Parker is a sleep away resident camp located 100 miles north of Anchorge at Peggy Lake. Camp runs Monday morning through Friday afternoon. The YMCA will provide housing for staff Monday through Friday, 3 meals and snacks each day, and transportation to and from Camp Parker. Activites that camp has are swimming, archery, riflery, wilderness activties, campfire stories, and lots of fun.
Camp has 2 positions:
Girls Camp Counselor
Boys Camp Counselor
Basic Requirements:
- Must enjoy working with school age children
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Pass a state and national background check
- Have experience with camping and enjoy the outdoors
- Be flexible in work assignment
Job Requirements
- Some experience working with children
- Complete required trainings
