Strategic Threat Solutions is seeking professional, well-groomed, and security-minded Unarmed Security Officers to provide protection in various establishments throughout Washington, DC. This will be a public-facing role with high engagement with facility management requiring vigilance with the poise, discretion, and hospitality.
Officers are responsible for detecting suspicious behavior and deterring vandalism, theft, and other criminal activity, while maintaining a calm, welcoming, and polished presence at all times. The ideal candidate inspires confidence, is respectful, works with venue staff and authorities in a courteous and professional manner, and possesses a high level of situational awareness and observation. The candidate should thrive in a team environment and have a passion for delivering an outstanding experience to members and their guests.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will vary but may include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain a professional, attentive presence and establish a sense of order and safety throughout the venue
- Patrol the premises regularly, both interior and exterior, to monitor activity and deter incidents
- Control access points; verify members, guests, and credentials in line with facility policies
- Politely and firmly address and, where appropriate, remove disruptive individuals or trespassers
- Observe and investigate suspicious activity, persons, or items, and respond appropriately
- Secure all exits, doors, and windows at the close of operations
- Provide discreet assistance and exceptional customer service to members and guests
- Submit accurate daily reports documenting activity, observations, and any notable occurrences

Skills
- Proven experience as a security officer or guard
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for venue security and public safety in the District of Columbia
- Excellent surveillance, de-escalation, and observation skills
- Polished, professional appearance and demeanor suited to an upscale environment
- Trained in First Aid / BLS and self-defense (preferred)
- High school diploma or GED required
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of security experience
- A valid DC Security Officer License (unarmed), issued through the Metropolitan Police Department's Security Officers Management Branch (SOMB) / DLCP, in good standing
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to pass a background check and applicable screening
- Professional, well-groomed presentation and strong interpersonal skills
