GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Under the direction of the Security – Shift Supervisor/Sergeant – Video Gaming Operations, is responsible for overall professional protective service for the Racing & Gaming facility, including safety of patrons, safeguarding assets, and detecting and recording unusual occurrences.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Physical safety of patrons.
2. Safeguarding of assets transported within the facility.
3. Protection of patron and gaming facility property.
4. Detainment of individuals engaging in conduct that violates rules and regulations.
5. Recording any and all unusual occurrences within the video lottery gaming facility.
6. Responsible for providing courteous, friendly service to all guests and providing a positive experience.
7. Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND TRAINING
Must have the ability to complete factual and accurate reports, as well as the ability to interact with people in a courteous and friendly manner. Must also possess interrogation skills.
ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Must possess a New York State Department of State issued Security Guard license, CPR certification and a New York State Driver’s license. Must be approved for and maintain a valid Video Lottery Gaming Employee Non-Key license or New York Lottery Gaming Key Employee license (if acting as Security-Shift Supervisor/Sergeant – Video Gaming Operations) issued by the New York State Gaming Commission and/or racing license if working track security.
