Housekeeping Team – Lakelyn Lodge (Boutique Hotel)

Position Summary
We’re hiring a housekeeping team (Housekeeper) to handle all aspects of room turnover and hotel cleanliness. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and have high standards for cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort.
Key Responsibilities
Daily/Turnover Duties:
- Clean and reset guest rooms thoroughly following checkout (not during stay)
- Change and launder all bedding and towels—either on-site or at an off-site laundry location
- Make beds to match marketing photo standards with consistent styling and presentation
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces, clean bathrooms, vacuum, dust, mop and restock amenities
- Empty trash and recycling and remove waste to on-site dumpsters
- Includes delivering guest requests and pick up of used items
- Conserve energy by closing shades and turning down AC and heat in unoccupied rooms
- Clean and maintain shared lounge area daily (vacuuming, surface wiping, tidying furniture, etc.)
- Restock in-room and common-area supplies (toiletries, towels, coffee stations, etc.)
- Notify management when supplies are low or inventory needs replenishing
Monthly/Deep Cleaning:
- Perform deep cleaning tasks monthly, including window washing, baseboard cleaning, high dusting, and carpet/furniture refreshes.
Qualifications
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred, but not required (hospitality experience a plus)
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team depending on shift needs
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in presentation
- Ability to follow specific room styling instructions based on brand photos
- Comfortable with physical work including lifting linens, pushing carts, and standing for extended periods
- Must be available for weekend and holiday shifts
- Reliable transportation to/from hotel location
Uniform & Appearance
- Staff must wear a clean uniform or comply with dress code standards
- Professional, clean, and courteous demeanor expected at all times
Schedule & Flexibility
- Work is scheduled based on occupancy and check-out volume
- Hours are primarily between 9 AM – 4 PM but may vary depending on demand
- Must be flexible and responsive, especially on high-turnover days
