Restaurant & Speakeasy Manager
Upscale Dining | Speakeasy | Gelato & Private Events
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven Restaurant & Speakeasy Manager to oversee daily operations across an upscale speakeasy and a high-volume gelato shop with a strong focus on private dining and events. This role requires a hands-on leader with exceptional guest service skills, strong operational and financial knowledge, and the flexibility to work late nights, weekends, and all holidays.
The ideal candidate has upscale dining experience, excels in event execution, leads teams with confidence, and is highly proficient in restaurant systems and office operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Guest Experience
- Deliver exceptional, hospitality-focused guest experiences across all concepts
- Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and ambiance
- Actively manage the floor during service, private events, and late-night operations
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently
Private Dining & Events (BEO)
- Manage private dining events and banquet event orders (BEOs) from planning through execution
- Coordinate with culinary, bar, and service teams to ensure seamless event flow
- Oversee timelines, staffing, menus, and event setup for all private bookings
Bar, Beverage & Wine
- Oversee bar operations including inventory, ordering, par levels, and cost control
- Demonstrate strong wine knowledge, including service standards and guest recommendations
- Maintain beverage quality and consistency aligned with an upscale speakeasy environment
Staffing, Training & Leadership
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop front-of-house staff
- Create and manage schedules while maintaining labor efficiency
- Lead by example during peak service, events, and high-volume shifts
- Build a positive, accountable, and professional team culture
Systems, Technology & Office Skills
- Proficient in Toast POS for sales reporting, labor review, and daily operations
- Experienced with Restaurant365 for inventory management, cost control, and financial reporting
- Skilled in OpenTable management, including reservations, floor management, guest notes, and VIP experiences
- Handle administrative duties including reporting, scheduling, communication, and documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of management experience in upscale dining, fine dining, or speakeasy environments
- Strong experience with private dining, BEOs, and event execution
- Proven knowledge of Toast POS, Restaurant365, and OpenTable
- Strong bar inventory and wine knowledge
- Excellent leadership, training, and staff development skills
- Highly organized with strong office and administrative abilities
- Guest-focused, polished, and professional communicator
- Willing and able to work late nights, weekends, all shifts, and all holidays

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
