Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections
- Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Maintain general ledger accounting records in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and organizational policies
- Prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries for management review
- Assist with budgeting processes and provide support for governmental or non-profit accounting requirements as needed
Experience
- Proven bookkeeping experience with a strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles and financial concepts
- Hands-on experience with popular accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of payroll processing, tax experience, and account reconciliation procedures
- Familiarity with governmental or non-profit accounting standards is a plus
- Strong proficiency in spreadsheets and 10-key typing skills for efficient data management
- Demonstrated ability to perform account analysis, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliation accurately
- Excellent organizational skills combined with attention to detail to ensure precise recordkeeping and compliance with accounting standards
