Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor guest consumption responsibly, adhering to alcohol service laws and policies.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, balancing registers at shift end with precision.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for food service when necessary, including serving food at bar or banquet events.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and notifying management of supply needs.
- Uphold all food safety standards related to food handling, beverage preparation, and overall hygiene practices.
- Contribute to a lively nightclub or banquet setting by supporting catering events or special functions as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience working as a bartender in fine dining, nightclub, or banquet environments is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is essential for efficient order processing.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously during busy hours.
- Proven ability in sales techniques to upsell beverages and increase revenue opportunities.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage diverse guests positively.
- Knowledge of food industry standards including food safety, food handling, retail math, and basic math skills for cash handling and transactions.
- Experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus for supporting large events or private functions.
