A pharmacy in New Jersey seeks a Remote Pharmacist in Charge with dual licensure in California and New Jersey to oversee operations and regulatory compliance. This part-time contract role (8-12 weeks, with potential for extension) offers weekday shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, approximately 24 hours per week, with no on-call responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with sterile and hazardous drug compounding standards.
- Support staff development, training, and performance management for 7 Technicians and 4 Pharmacists.
- Maintain adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and DEA requirements.
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations while supervising the pharmacy team including pharmacists and technicians.
- Review and approve patient care plans, verifying therapy appropriateness, dosing accuracy, and medication compatibility.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active, unrestricted pharmacist licenses in both New Jersey and California.
- Previous management or Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) experience preferred.
- Experience with sterile medication verification is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and compliance standards.
