What You’ll Do
As a Superintendent, you’ll be the driving force behind our commercial construction projects, leading field operations with expertise and passion. You’ll:
- Lead Field Operations: Manage subcontractors, labor, and resources to deliver safe, high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- Champion Safety: Enforce OSHA standards and lead site safety initiatives to protect your team.
- Drive Project Success: Partner with Project Managers to coordinate schedules, materials, and equipment, ensuring seamless execution.
- Ensure Quality: Oversee work to exceed client expectations, proactively solving challenges to enhance project value.
- Communicate & Document: Maintain clear records (daily reports, RFIs, submittals) and foster strong client relationships.
- Self-Perform Tasks: Jump in on tasks like punch list touchups for trades like flooring, drywall or finish carpentry to meet deadlines and uphold quality standards.
Who You Are
- Experienced Leader: 10+ years in commercial construction, with 7+ years supervising tenant improvements or ground-up projects.
- Skilled Professional: Proficient in blueprint reading, safety standards (OSHA, CPR, First Aid), and hands-on tasks (drywall, carpentry, flooring).
- Organized Communicator: Adept at managing priorities, meeting deadlines, and using tools like Microsoft Office and Project.
- Road Warrior: Comfortable with 100% travel, including extended periods, with a valid driver’s license.
- Values-Driven: You embody integrity, collaboration, and a positive attitude, aligning with TrueNorth’s culture.
Physical Demands
You’ll work on active construction sites (indoors/outdoors), standing, walking, climbing, and occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs. Expect extended hours (up to 12 hrs/day) and significant driving to meet project needs.
