About the Role
APHIX is hiring an Enhancement Manager to lead the people and resources behind quality, cost-effective enhancement work across a portfolio of commercial properties. You'll direct multiple crews, partner with our Account Managers on estimates and designs, and sell enhancement services to both existing maintenance clients and new ones. The role blends hands-on field leadership with project coordination, crew development, and client-focused problem solving.
What You'll Do
- Plan, schedule, and direct crews and resources to deliver high-quality enhancement work on time and on budget
- Oversee a portfolio of commercial landscape properties and several service teams
- Support Account Managers with estimating, design, and client meetings, and sell enhancement services with or without a base maintenance contract
- Stay in regular contact with Account Managers to understand each client's needs and expectations
- Run enhancement projects end to end coordinating labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Walk properties ahead of scheduled service to build a clear, specific action plan
- Assess irrigation systems, identify needed repairs or adjustments, and pass recommendations to the right party
- Train and develop crew members in equipment operation, pruning, safety, and quality standards
- Work with the Branch Manager on staffing needs, hiring, and daily crew schedules, and ensure hiring and employee-change paperwork is completed correctly
- Coach, evaluate, counsel, and build growth plans for your team
- Enforce company standards for equipment use, maintenance, storage, and required training
- Champion job-site safety and monitor safety records
- Maintain administrative systems, including timesheets, job/cost databases, and service schedules
- Order materials, manage purchase orders per company guidelines, and track costs and deliveries
- Support the Branch Manager with enhancement sales tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
- 2–4+ years in commercial landscaping, with experience in enhancements, installation, or crew leadership
- Strong knowledge of plants, seasonal color, irrigation, and landscape installation
- Ability to estimate work and build accurate, profitable proposals
- Proven ability to lead and develop crews while juggling multiple projects
- Strong communication and client-relationship skills
- Valid driver's license
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook [and your estimating/scheduling software]
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Degree in horticulture, landscape management, or a related field
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) for crew leadership
- Pesticide/horticulture certification or license
Physical & Working Conditions
- Split time between an indoor office and outdoor site walkthroughs and crew supervision
- Able to work in moderate to extreme conditions — heat above 100°F, cold below 32°F, and varying humidity
- Involves standing, walking, bending, and occasionally lifting heavy objects
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
