This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the yard area, ensuring equipment is properly stored and operational, and assisting with inventory management.

Prepare equipment for rental (cleaning, fueling, staging)

Wash and detail construction and rental equipment upon return

Paint equipment and trailers as needed

Conduct visual inspections for leaks, damage, or wear

Notify service team of any maintenance needs or safety concerns

Perform basic preventative maintenance (greasing, fluid topoffs, battery checks, etc.)

Assist with minor mechanical repairs under guidance of service technicians

Maintain landscaping, grounds, snow removal, and facility cleanliness
-
Assist with rental equipment digital checkin and checkout
-
Complete condition reports and ensure machines are customerready

Greet customers dropping off or picking up equipment; provide basic operational assistance

Organize machines in designated areas for accessibility and presentation

Assist with small rentals and parts pickups

Maintain an organized and safe yard layout

Operate yard equipment safely and efficiently.

Ensure all equipment is properly stored and secured

Load and unload equipment using forklifts or skid steers as needed
-
Conduct periodic yard inventory and equipment audits
-
Provide courteous, handson assistance to customers and drivers
-
Explain rental procedures, safety features, and basic equipment operation if needed

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
-
Valid Driver’s License
-
Clean driving record with no moving violations

Must pass a background check and drug test
-
Prior experience around heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers preferred
-
Forklift or skid steer experience a plus (training can be provided)

Bumper pull trailer experience preferred

Alert, focused, and detailoriented

Physically and mentally fit
-
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. at a time

Able to operate an electric lift, equipment, etc.

Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic maintenance

Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful

Able to follow instruction
