Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Welder to join our team at Technology Plus Trailers. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and be comfortable working in a shop environment. As a Welder, you will play a crucial role in fabricating and repairing metal structures, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including Stick welding and MIG welding, to fabricate and repair metal components.
- Taking instruction from the supervisor on following print requirements and welding.
- Manufacturing equipment and hand tools to build and attach various parts, materials and equipment to Custom Enclosed Trailers according to customer specifications.
- Operate hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Utilize basic math skills to calculate measurements and material requirements accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Welder in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques.
- Experienced with basic hand tools.
- Proficient in basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide.
- Ability to start 8hrs / day.
- Able to lift up 50lbs continuously.
- Able to bend, kneel, stoop, stand, reach, twist, climb and/or crawl
- Able to communicate (read, write, speak, listen and understand work instructions).
- Strong understanding of safety practices related to welding and construction sites.
- Able to work in regularly exposed to high noise level, vibration, dust.
- Ability to climb 12 ft ladder.
- Able to perform repetitive tasks; high physical activity.
- PPE: Steel-toes and safety glasses required at all times
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knows how use overhead crane is a plus.
- Construction experience a plus.
- Job Type : Full time (40 hours weekly).
