We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Douglas, GA. The ideal candidate will have experience working on diesel-powered garbage trucks and be capable of performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure our fleet operates efficiently and safely.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel garbage trucks.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Repair or replace defective parts including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical problems.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, specifically with garbage trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
