Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nutritionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide expert nutritional guidance, develop personalized care plans, and support patients across various settings including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics. This role involves assessing patient needs, implementing nutrition strategies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal health outcomes. Experience in dietetics, physiology, and patient assessment is essential to deliver comprehensive nutritional care tailored to individual requirements.
Duties:
Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine nutritional needs and develop customized care plans. Provide health coaching to support weight loss, disease management, and overall wellness goals. Supervise dietary departments and oversee meal planning in compliance with medical and nutritional standards. Manage tube feeding procedures and ensure proper nutrition delivery for patients with specialized needs. Perform diagnostic evaluations related to nutrition status and interpret relevant medical data. Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition plans accordingly to optimize health outcomes. Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in acute care, geriatrics, and long-term care settings to ensure continuity of nutritional support. Educate patients on dietary choices, lifestyle modifications, and long-term health strategies. Stay current with advancements in dietetics, physiology, and clinical nutrition practices.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of nutrition science, dietetics, and physiology principles.Proven experience in health coaching, patient assessment, and developing care plans.Supervising experience within dietary or healthcare departments is preferred.Familiarity with tube feeding protocols and diagnostic evaluation techniques.Experience working with EMR systems in hospital or clinical environments.Background in long-term care, geriatrics, acute care, or hospital settings is highly desirable.Ability to manage dietary department operations effectively while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.Knowledge of weight loss strategies and dietary interventions for various medical conditions. Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
