Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing nutritional guidance and support to patients, ensuring their dietary needs are met for optimal health outcomes. This position requires a strong background in dietetics, patient assessment, and the ability to create individualized care plans. The Dietitian will work closely with other healthcare professionals in various settings, including hospitals and long-term care facilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate nutritional needs and dietary habits.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans based on diagnostic evaluations and patient goals.
- Provide health coaching to patients, guiding them towards healthier lifestyle choices and weight loss strategies.
- Supervise dietary department staff, ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with medical teams to address the nutritional needs of patients in acute care and geriatrics.
- Manage tube feeding protocols for patients requiring specialized nutrition support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress using EMR systems.
- Stay updated on the latest research in nutrition and dietetics to provide evidence-based recommendations.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or related field; registered dietitian status preferred.
- Experience in long-term care settings or hospitals is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in physiology knowledge related to nutrition and dietary practices.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation techniques and patient assessment methodologies.
- Previous supervisory experience within a dietary department is a plus.
