The Quabbin Regional School District is seeking an Assistant Principal Gr. 8-9 to assist in the planning, administration, and evaluation of functions necessary for the operation of the Quabbin Regional Middle/High School.Minimum Requirements: Master's degree requiredMinimum of five years of teaching and 5 years of leadership experience in grades 7-12 preferredValid Massachusetts Dept. of Elementary & Secondary Education Assistant Principal/Principal or Director license or a comprable Administrator's LicenseRequisite Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: -Ability to plan, supervise, and evaluate the work of others based on individual strengths and weaknesses, and to guide their professional growth.-Possess extensive knowledge of the curriculum and instructional program including content and methodologies-Ability to analyze, interpret and utilize data-Experience leading quality professional development-Demonstrated ability to use research based practices that results in higher student achievement.-Ability to plan, supervise, and evaluate the work of others based on individual strengths and weaknesses, and to guide their professional growth.-Knowledge of current curriculum and instructional practices and trends-Knowledge of public school administration and organization and the support activities required-Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate appropriate instructional and operational support programs-Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community; and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. -Foster an equitable and inclusive school environment where all students feel safe, valued, respected, and connected to the school community.
