Duties
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly through cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and surface repair to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine appropriate painting methods and materials for each project
- Apply paints, stains, coatings, and finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and conventional spray equipment
- Perform construction site painting tasks including structural painting, renovation projects, restoration work, and industrial coating applications
- Use ladders and scaffolding safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas while adhering to all safety regulations and protocols
- Conduct surface preparation for construction spray painting and surface coating projects to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal
- Install fixtures or other related handyman tasks such as fixture installation or minor carpentry when required
Skills
- Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, industrial coating applications, and renovation projects
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless spray), brushes, rollers, and other application equipment
- Deep understanding of color theory for effective visual color comparison and matching techniques
- Familiarity with safety regulations including respiratory protection practices and safety protocol adherence on construction sites
- Ability to perform surface preparation tasks such as sanding, caulking (including stucco), masonry work, plastering, and fixture installation
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to paint coverage, surface area estimation, and project planning
- Experience with maintenance work involving framing carpentry or masonry is a plus; knowledge of renovation or restoration processes highly valued

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
