Prep Cook/Dishwasher
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Prep Cook/Dishwasher to support our kitchen operations. This position is responsible for assisting with food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, washing dishes and equipment, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, dependable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Essential Duties:
· Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and portioning.
· Assist cooks with basic food preparation tasks as directed.
· Label, date, and properly store food products.
· Follow recipes, preparation procedures, and portion standards.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations.
· Wash dishes, glassware, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using dishwashing machines and hand-washing methods.
· Maintain adequate supplies of clean dishes and kitchen tools throughout service.
· Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
· Clean and sanitize kitchen floors, walls, storage areas, and work surfaces.
· Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
· Receive and store deliveries according to company procedures.
· Restock supplies and assist with inventory organization.
· Support kitchen staff during busy service periods.
· Help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.
· Perform additional duties as assigned by kitchen management.
Education/Experience:
· Previous kitchen, food preparation, or dishwashing experience preferred but not required.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
· Strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness.
· Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
· Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Demands:
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
· Comfortable working in hot, wet, and fast-paced kitchen conditions
Environment/Noise:
This position requires standing for long periods, working near hot surfaces and kitchen equipment, and performing repetitive tasks in a busy restaurant environment.
Certificates/Licenses:
· Food Handler Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
