Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and dry dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of pots, pans, and bulk supplies while adhering to proper manual handling techniques.
- Follow all sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with food safety management standards.
- Support overall kitchen cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and maintaining trash disposal routines regularly.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, and manual handling tasks throughout shifts.
- Familiarity with kitchen health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail in maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Previous banquet or catering experience is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for working in fast-paced food service settings is key.
