Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Shop Helper to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will assist skilled machinists in preparing, maintaining, and operating various CNC machining equipment to produce high-quality components. Responsibilities
- Assist with setting up and operating CNC machines, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC programming tasks under supervision.
- Support the use of manual tools such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet strict quality standards.
- Handle materials and supplies safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment to support production workflows.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the machine shop area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Requirements
- Prior machine shop or oilfield experience a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools and basic shop equipment safely and effectively.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with good math skills for measurements and calculations.
