Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Development, Fundraising & Publicity Coordinator to help expand the Foundation's reach and increase fundraising efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with nonprofit development, communications, public relations, or fundraising experience who is passionate about making a meaningful impact.
The ideal candidate is creative, organized, proactive, and enjoys building relationships with donors, sponsors, media outlets, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to increase individual, corporate, and foundation support.
- Identify and cultivate new donor and sponsorship opportunities.
- Assist with donor stewardship and relationship management.
- Research and help prepare grant proposals and funding opportunities.
- Increase awareness of the Foundation through publicity and media outreach.
- Develop relationships with journalists, podcasts, influencers, and media outlets to secure coverage.
- Assist with social media and digital marketing strategies to expand visibility and engagement.
- Promote Foundation events, campaigns, and initiatives.
- Help coordinate fundraising campaigns and special events.
- Track fundraising activities and maintain donor records.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Director on strategic growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, public relations, marketing, or communications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience securing sponsorships, donations, grants, or media coverage is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing.
- Passion for nonprofit work and helping make a positive difference.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with donor databases or CRM systems.
- Grant writing experience.
- Existing media or nonprofit contacts.
- Event planning or nonprofit communications experience
- Social Media Savvy
Compensation
Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
