Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Window Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, replacing, and repairing windows across various residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets quality standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. Responsibilities
- Measure window openings accurately using dimensional measurements and blueprint reading to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to execute window installation tasks precisely.
- Use hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, caulking guns, and fabrication equipment to install windows efficiently.
- Remove old windows carefully, perform necessary repairs, and prepare openings for new installations.
- Install glass panels, frames, trim carpentry, and fixtures following safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
- Seal gaps with caulking to ensure energy efficiency and weatherproofing of the installed windows.
- Perform quality control checks on measurements, installation integrity, and overall finish to meet project standards.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, metal stud framing, fixture installation, cabinet installation, and remodeling techniques.
- Experience in window installation, glass installation, frame carpentry, door hanging, and heavy lifting on construction sites.
- Ability to read schematics and construction plans accurately for precise execution of tasks.
- Skilled in fabrication and manufacturing processes related to window components.
- Familiarity with construction site safety practices and the use of hand tools for carpentry and drywall work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in measurement (quality control) and craftsmanship.
