Overview
We are seeking an Installation Technician to join our team. This position involves installing, testing, and maintaining equipment and devices. The successful candidate will work independently and as part of a team to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities.
Job Duties
- Running, terminating and certifying CAT6 and Fiber Optic cabling
- Installing and testing devices such as CCTV Cameras, Access Control Devices, etc.
- Installing Head end network equipment. IE: equipment racks, patch panels, wire management, network switches, etc.
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
- Must be ok with ladder and scissor/boom lift-work
Travel
- Candidate must be able to be out of town 3.5-4 weeks at a time, with the option to come home for a week in between
- Locations include the entire United States
- All hotels, rental cars, flights, etc. will be covered by 5X5 Communications
- Candidate must be comfortable sharing a hotel/apartment with our other team members
- Option available to travel full time which will include extra compensation for more days on site
Compensation
- $750/week paid bi-weekly
- $200/week per diem
- Hiring Incentive Bonus
- Bonuses periodically upon exceptional workmanship
Experience
- None required but law voltage cabling is a plus
- We are willing to teach if the motivation and commitment is there
