Position Summary
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for developing customer relationships, managing sales orders, providing product information, preparing quotations, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customers and works closely with production, inventory, shipping, and accounting departments to ensure accurate order processing and on-time delivery.
The Inside Sales Representative utilizes the Agility ERP System to enter orders, maintain customer records, track inventory availability, monitor order status, and support daily sales operations.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Sales
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Generate and follow up on sales quotations.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Assist customers in selecting products that best meet their needs.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products.
- Resolve customer issues, complaints, and order discrepancies professionally and other duties as assigned.
Order Management
- Enter and manage customer orders through the Agility ERP System.
- Verify pricing, quantities, shipping information, and customer requirements.
- Track orders from entry through shipment and delivery.
- Coordinate order changes, cancellations, and special requests.
- Communicate order status updates to customers.
Inventory & Production Coordination
- Monitor inventory availability using the Agility system.
- Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehouse personnel to meet customer requirements.
- Inform customers of lead times and inventory availability.
- Assist in managing backorders and customer expectations.
- Coordinate with shipping personnel to ensure timely deliveries.
Account Management
- Maintain accurate customer records within Agility.
- Review customer purchasing history and identify growth opportunities.
- Support sales initiatives and customer retention efforts.
- Conduct regular follow-up calls with customers.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Prepare sales reports and customer activity updates.
- Maintain electronic customer files and documentation.
- Assist with credit applications and customer account setup.
- Support collection efforts by coordinating with accounting when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of customer service, inside sales, or account management experience.
- Experience with ERP systems preferred; Agility experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
