Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients according to established recipes and safety standards
- Support meal service by packaging food, delivering food, bussing tables, serving food, and ensuring timely delivery of meals to downtown location.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including countertops, utensils, equipment, and dining spaces and cleanliness of the transport van.
- Follow food safety protocols and proper handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Help with inventory management by organizing supplies, checking expiration dates, and notifying supervisors of stock needs
- Support dietary department tasks by assisting with special dietary requests and accommodating specific nutritional needs
- Contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication, punctuality, and a proactive attitude
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry
- Clean valid California Drivers' License
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation, sanitation, and safety standards
- Experience with food production, meal preparation, and serving in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy meal periods
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic understanding of dietary guidelines and the importance of proper food handling practices
- Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary arts and kitchen operations
