F-ADA builds software that allows end-users to retrain mission-specifc AI models in the field, and deploy them on ultra low-cost hardware. Our long term goal is to build the next Bell Labs, where the best engineers solve the hardest technical problems in autonomy and turn those breakthroughs into massive productivity gains in the real world.
F-ADA recently raised a $6.1 million seed round and is hiring a founding team. Founding team members will work on real problems from day one, take on significant responsibility in a high-ownership environment, and grow with the company as we scale
Make no-GPS terminal guidance work on real aircraft. The urgent problem is proportional navigation and related control algorithms for quadcopters and fixed wings without an external velocity reference.
What they will own
- Build no-GPS guidance, tracking, filtering, and control algorithms for UAS.
- Implement and debug autonomy in ArduPilot, PX4, Betaflight, or adjacent flight stacks.
- Use Kalman filters and other estimation/filtering techniques under real sensor constraints.
- Validate algorithms in simulation, then prove them in real-world flight tests.
- Create tools for logs, telemetry, debugging, and iteration; later, help reason about many-system orchestration.
Who we are looking for
- Unusually strong in controls, GNC, estimation, or applied autonomy.
- Experience with ArduPilot, PX4, Betaflight, MAVLink, quadcopters, fixed wings, or FPV systems.
- Can design an algorithm, test it in sim, debug it in flight, and explain what failed.
- Comfortable owning both engineering design and field validation.
- Wants their work demonstrated in front of real military end users.
