Hogan Construction Group is a fast paced, family owned, mid-sized Commercial General Contractor working in the Southeastern United States. We are seeking experienced Assistant Superintendents to join our team in our Greenville, SC Office. Candidates should be energetic, highly motivated individuals who enjoy the challenges of interesting projects while being able to maintain project schedules and profitability.
Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

A minimum of 4 years of construction related experience required.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Foreman, Lead Carpenter, or Assistant Superintendent for commercial construction projects.

Previous Supervisory experience of Foreman, Laborers, Subcontractors, and Suppliers preferred.

Experience in Commercial Construction including Healthcare, Manufacturing, Industrial, Municipality, Religious Institution, Higher Education, and/or K-12 required.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Effective participation in a Team Environment.

Excellent listening skills.

Experience in the use of a Personal Computer and Hand-Held Computing Technology for a communication tool, Microsoft Office Suite programs, and web-based technology.

Experience using web-based Project Management Solutions; Procore experience preferred.

Experience using Project Scheduling Software desirable.

Ability to read and interpret Construction Drawings and Specifications.

Ability to effectively communicate in both English and Spanish desirable.

Duties:
-
Assist the Superintendent as necessary.
-
Oversee the daily work performed by Subcontractors and various trades.

Assist in the Day to Day Supervision and Operation of the Jobsite under the leadership of the Superintendent.

Effectively manage relationships with Subcontractors, Owners and Local Officials.

Inspects all work to ensure compliance to Contract, company standards and building codes.

Collaborate with the Superintendent for effective management of the project schedule including the initial CPM schedule, short term schedules, recovery schedules, and schedule modifications due to unforeseen conditions or changes.

Assist in the management of quality control on site so the final product meets or exceeds defined installation quality levels.

Oversee and/or process the day-to-day field documentation including daily logs, as-built documents, inspection reports, safety documentation, and notes.

Seek guidance from appropriate resources when necessary to solve problems.

Participate weekly Subcontractor meetings and Safety meetings.

Assist in the creation of and ensure the completion of Punch Lists.
