Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Guest Services Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be the welcoming face of the museum, ensuring every visitor receives exceptional customer service. Your enthusiasm for hospitality and strong communication skills will help create memorable experiences for guests while efficiently managing front desk operations, guest relations, museum store, and membership. Duties
- Greet visitors warmly upon arrival and provide information about exhibits, memberships, and museum services
- Manage guest check-in and ticketing processes accurately using multi-line phone systems and front desk software
- Handle guest inquiries via phone and in person with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette
- Assist visitors with membership sign-ups, event registrations, and general questions about the museum’s offerings
- Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth flow of visitor services and resolve any guest concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front desk area to promote a welcoming environment
- Support special events by providing guest relations assistance and ensuring excellent service standards
- Gift Shop management and e-sales
- Process new and renewing memberships, update database
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
- Ability to work well with Museum staff, volunteers, and the public
- General knowledge of Windows-based computer system, Office Suite, and experience working a computerized inventory control system (Point of Sale)
- Capable of handling cash register, copier, phone, computer
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of retail management, purchasing and merchandising
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality management or customer service roles preferred
- Strong proficiency in hotel management systems or front desk operations is advantageous
- Multilingual skills or bilingual abilities are highly valued to enhance guest interactions
- Familiarity with hotel management practices, night audit procedures, or resort operations is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and handling multi-line phone systems
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding guest services in fast-paced environments
- Passion for hospitality, tourism, or automotive history is beneficial but not required
