Job Title: Meat and Seafood Coordinator

We are searching for an organized and detail‐oriented individual to join our Meat and Seafood Department as Meat and Seafood Department Coordinator.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the meat and seafood departments in achieving our department’s objectives, including communication to vendors, stores and operations, maintaining reports, supporting product distributions and purchase orders, new item set up and cost/retail system updates and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the department. The Coordinator acts as a liaison between the corporate office, store teams, vendors, and other internal departments to facilitate efficient execution of department goals.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Item maintenance: setting up new items, updating costs, retail changes, maintaining item details
- Communicate with operations and stores via daily bulletin, phone and email
- Communicate with vendors as directed
- Work with internal teams to support company initiatives
- Pull and update sales, margin, pricing and inventory reports on a weekly basis for review by director and supervisor
- Recommend store distributions for approval
- Recommend price changes for approval
- Review inventory reports for actions needed and director approval
- Communicate schematics and display information and changes to stores as needed
- Support vendor onboarding and documentation processes, including insurance and product information.
- Help ensure all vendor and product files comply with company and regulatory standards.
- Track product recalls and ensure timely communication to affected stores.
- Partner with IT and Retail Support to adapt department processes to new technology systems
- Provide administrative support to department, such as scheduling meetings, maintaining filing systems and mailing supplies
- Assist with other company initiatives as needed
Qualifications, Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, office management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2–4 years of administrative experience; grocery retail or perishable department experience strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and data management systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Familiarity with meat and seafood terminology, merchandising, and operations is a plus.
Work Environment
- This position is based in Honolulu and requires regular visits to stores across the islands. Occasional neighbor island, mainland and travel may be required for vendor meetings, industry shows, or company initiatives.
- Work hours include occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
- Travel: The employee must have the ability to drive a motor vehicle and be able to travel to various locations via air and motor vehicle.
