About the Role
Empower Behavioral Health is seeking a full‑time Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a K–3 autism‑focused charter program in the Phoenix area for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an onsite, contract position serving young learners with communication, social‑emotional, and developmental needs in a structured early‑elementary autism setting.
The program features small class sizes, high staff‑to‑student ratios, and a communication‑centered instructional model designed to support students with autism and related developmental differences.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech‑language therapy for K–3 students in an autism‑focused program
- Conduct evaluations, re‑evaluations, and progress monitoring
- Develop and implement IEP‑aligned communication goals
- Support expressive/receptive language, social communication, AAC, and pragmatic skills
- Collaborate with teachers, behavior specialists, and related service providers
- Provide consultation and modeling for communication strategies within structured classrooms
- Maintain accurate documentation, service logs, and compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, team collaboration, and family communication

Requirements
- Active or eligible Arizona SLP license (or ability to obtain)
- Experience with autism, AAC, or early‑elementary communication needs preferred
- Ability to work full‑time, onsite for the 2026–2027 school year
- Prior school‑based experience preferred
